Sneak Peek! J.Crew Spring '09

Sneak Peek! J.Crew Spring '09

For Spring, J.Crew's entertaining us with an art-inspired collection filled with fabulous colors and cuts. Inspired by artists such as Warhol, Monet, and Degas, the brand is offering up a nice array of sleek skirts, tops, frocks, and accessories in decadent prints and textures. The mini skirt is updated with a hexagon jacquard motif (see left); the classic button-up top is doused in a cool pastel hue; and denim is ripped to perfection. For accessories, J.Crew pleases with patent finishes, cool baubles, and luxurious leathers. Love it all.

Re: College budget, J. Crew offers a 15% discount to college students so it's not that bad at all! My fave item from them is actually their Matchstick Jeans. It's their version of skinny jeans for NORMAL looking women.

As a current employee for them, I can only sing their praises in every way! The reason they continue to wow people is simply because many are unaware of their partnerships with very high quality and luxe companies. This is because in order to overtly advertise these as their given brands, would obviously drive the price point to "out of reach" for many. For example, ALL of their cashmere is Loro Piana, with custom colors just for J Crew. The leathers for their handbags, totes, satchels, and shoes-- they use the same tannery as Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. This is just the very tip of the quality-iceberg that J Crew has cultivated through their many "secret" partnerships.

I always love JCrew. I think a lot of their pieces will stand the test of time and still be classic in years to come.

I love JCrew so much. They always have pretty clothes, no matter what the season is, their sales are amazing, and it's right around the corner from my apartment!

In the past year + I have really been loving Jcrew. Their quality is consistently high and their clothes are timeless which is important in a time when everyone is trying to be frugal. Banana Republic on the other hand was my other work go-to and they have increasingly disappointed me. Their quality has really plummeted and they no longer have crisp classics. I think they got a different buyer?

I'm so happy with the colors that seem to be big for Spring...yellow, orange, lighter orange, and a creamy color...very very pretty!
