Hi, it's Allison McNamara. Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron star in the new rendition of the famous fairy tale "Snow White." And we got the inside scoop on all the gorgeous costumes the movie's fashion designer Colleen Atwood in today's Fab Flash. The action-packed movie, Snow White and the Huntsman features lots of fighting scenes, especially by Snow White, played by Kristen Stewart. Colleen told Pop Sugar editor Lindsay Miller how she kept these intense scenes in mind when making Kristen's Snow White costume. A lot of her stuff is rigged, and, you know, I knew from the start she had to have shoes she could run in the woods in. That because she falls down and goes ass over elbows a million times. Right. I had to have some kind of a legging or something to cover her up, otherwise it would have just looked stupid, really. So I kind of plugged in right away to a practical aspect, and her costume in the beginning is a long dress. But I've got it underdressed with leggings, and then when the huntsman cuts it off, it looks really great as a tunic over the leggings and kind of gives her, like a great silhouette but able to kind of do action. And she has stretch elements within the costume so she can lift her arm and sword fight. Charlize Theron plays the evil queen whose intent on killing her step daughter snow white in order to be in control of the English kingdom. She wears lots of lavish gowns in the movie especially the wedding gown, which took quite some time to make. The wedding gown took three weeks with four people working on that, because it's a lot of hand work. And some of Cherlize's outfits were so intricate, she had last-minute fittings before they started filming the movie. With Cherlize's stuff, because it took so long to manufacture. Some of her stuff, the fittings were right before she worked and so it was intense but it went really well. stunning, and we'd expect nothing less from the nine time Academy Award nominated costume designer Colleen Atwood. You can see all these costumes for yourself when the movie hits theaters on June 1st. Thanks for watching FabSugar TV, I'm Allison McNamera and I'll see you next time on Fab Flash.
