The shoes at J.Crew's New York Fashion Week presentations always set tongues wagging, and the heels Sophia Webster created for the brand's show on Tuesday will carry that tradition straight into the retailer's stores.
Webster, the relatively young British shoe designer who was mentored by Nicholas Kirkwood, took some of her own signature shapes and applied J.Crew's Spring 2014 design motifs to them. The stilettos, pumps, and sandals Webster created for the presentation are covered in polka dots, floral patterns, and neon shades, and WWD reports that Webster's signature tassels are on some of the shoes, too.
J.Crew's customers will be able to buy the shoes early next year, but for now they exist as sketches. A look at the drawings of Webster's capsule collection, here.
