It's not hard to imagine that Olivier Theyskens had the '90s on his mind when he designed Theyskens' Theory's Spring 2014 collection. While the plaid, floral patterns, and ripped jeans that dominated grunge weren't there, you got a sense of that look's proportions and layering with many of the ensembles that came down the runway. A formfitting black camisole over a navy t-shirt and sheer pants created a sort of modern facsimile of the baby-doll dress, and there was more than one shirt dress and generous sweater here. The coolest look? They were all cool, but a sparkly knitted gray-and-white dress stood out against the pink backdrop of the show.
