Trend Alert: The Boyfriend Shirt

Once in a while a trend comes along we borrow from the boys - literally. There are so many ways to wear his classic white men's button-down shirt, or his Hanes white v-neck (and, for some reason, the color white is always ideal). Wear it cool and collected like Ashley, wear it effortlessly tomboy style like Kirstin, or wear it to bed undone sexy style. Oh, and it's also a comfy cool beach cover-up!

Anyway you slice it, borrowing your boyfriend's shirt can be styling fun - just remember to femme it up with an undone button, or three, something sleek and tight on bottom, and a good attitude.

Well women you are not the only ones who wear unisex clothing. I buy unisex shirts at American Apparel all the time - It saves money when I transform from gary to dee- Same with jeans - For the women that are married or with boyfriends - start saving money his or yours (if you take the same sizes or close to it) and buy unisex so you swap clothes and also save money

GAP actually has a line of thin cotton shirts called "boyfriend tee". They are more fitted than a regular men's shirt, but the sleeves are more loose and the shirt is long. If you can find one, grab it! I wear mine at least twice a week.

I'm wearing a mens v-neck tshirt from Americal Apparel today! I paired it with dark skinny jeans, gladiators, and a red and purple head scarf! Nice timing on this post! It's actually my favorite look. I love mixing masculine and feminine styles.

I do agree that men's shirt/tees are sometimes better designed than women's. My friend goes to All Saints and straight into the guys' section to get Small size good design shirts...but I guess it does need a specific fashion/body to suit it...for me I can't pull it off too well...
