Trend Alert: Pretty Pastel Jeans

Cheap Monday at ShopStyle

I can't wait to get my hands on a pair of pastel jeans. Why, you ask? Because blue jeans have had their hurrah and it's time for something new. You might be feeling some resistance but think of all the pretty hues you can choose from. Light lavender, pink, sky blue, orange — the list goes on and on. Oh, by the way, they're pretty cheap, too!

I actually like these. I'm not daring enough to pull off the brighter colors but maybe a lighter green. I think the problem with these are that if you have any hips or thighs at all the colors just make you look shorter and wider.

I remember my mom pushing colored jeans on me in grade school and wearing the stirrup tanks, leotards, and tapered jeans, complete with a froofy perm....the 80's are indeed making a comeback. They're not very universally flattering, and that category unfortunately includes me so I'll opt out of the brighter colored jeans. Maybe it depends on where it's cut. I could see colored cropped pants looking a little more respectable...

I just bought a turquoise pair from H & M. I never thought i'd like them but they look surprisingly good and very spring like

I think they are very cute, but they seem like the kind of thing that you'll regret wearing in ten years...

I just bought a pair of pink skinnies the other day. They look surprisingly good. And fun.

I'm skeptical of this trend. I always see colorful jeans in forever21, but I'm afraid that no one would take me seriously if I wore them. I did however liked the jean in the main picture, that is until I clicked to the website and saw the terrible things it did to her butt. I think I'll pass on this one.

Haha I wore these in the late 80s to early 90s. Never again.

I'm not a fan of the bright pastels. the only non-demin jeans I like (and own) are olive green and gray.

I'm feeling resistant... but if worn correctly and casually it could work... for some people.

yeah, I'm not too big on colored jeans either. But I kind of have to bite my tongue on this one b/c I just bought some cropped skinnies from J.Crew. They're cute, though. And they will be paired with a very casual top.

I hate fashion trends... who can wear these? People with chicken legs... that's about it. And its hard to taken seriously or be accepted as a professional when you're wearing lime green jeans.

I just bought a pair of Turquoise skinny jeans from Forever21. I never thought I would even give into the skinny jean fad and bam, I go for the brightest pair I can find! LOL, I am eagerly awaiting their arrival.

I like these! Very fun for spring. But yeah, they have to be skinny jeans. Anything else would be kind of overwhelming.

Personally I don't care for these colored denim pieces, kind of reminds me of punk rock bands of the 80's...ha.

I love them, as long as they are skinny jeans...I love and want the lavender ones in the Madewell spring line.
