You can bet that the fashion industry had more than a few thoughts to share upon the release of Kim and Kanye's highly suspected Vogue cover earlier this afternoon. And while Anna Wintour wasted no time in defending her choice: "You may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover," she reportedly states in her editor's letter. "He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true." The reaction we saw on Twitter — whether it was fans of the image expressing support and excitement or individuals voicing concern for the future of the magazine — remained to be action packed, so much so that we had a feeling Twitter would break again.

I don't think Anna "caved" and don't find it offensive. It's the bravest thing American Vogue has done in years.

Everyone knows what happens when Vogue photographs you in wedding dresses before the actual wedding. We've all endured the SATC movie.
