Did Victoria Beckham's famous friends ask her to include gowns again in her Fall 2014 collection, because they are made for gliding down a red carpet. Beckham mentioned a focus on "three dimensionality in every look" in her show notes, and that manifested in beautiful pleats, feathers, organza ruffles, and gold chains adorning long and lean silhouettes. Open-back, elongated vests were a perfectly tailored counterpoint to stovepipe pants cut long over Manolo Blahnik pumps. While the collection was almost completely black and ivory, there was a stellar pop flower print rendered across a long pleated midi skirt. And did we mention evening? We can picture Beckham looking amazing in the backless sweater held across the shoulder blades with a chain over a shimmering pencil skirt. But the two closing gowns in black and ivory were showstoppers. Stylists, are you fighting tooth and nail yet?
