We Can't Believe These Shirts Are Being Sold at Gap!

Not only has Gap always been about the basics, but the past two seasons have seen an even stronger push toward the easy staples — white button-downs, crisp jeans, and simple sweaters — we've come to expect from the retailer. So, we're certain devoted shoppers will be more than a bit surprised to see the latest Visionaire x Gap collaboration's lineup of what can only be described as the "extreme statement" sweatshirt.

To celebrate its 45th anniversary, the brand has teamed up with fashion magazine Visionaire on a limited-edition collaboration of art-inspired sweatshirts and t-shirts, all screen-printed with works by the likes of Ruben Toledo and Steven Klein that were published in past issues of the publication.

We're sure this capsule collection, which will go on sale next week, will appeal to those less likely to shop at Gap, but for those more comfortable in the simpler fare, just remember: beneath that oversaturated mosaic and Medusa-inspired portrait is still a really great sweatshirt and tee.
