If you starred in a film that's a contender for an Academy Award, there's a good chance you're on one of W magazine's six February covers. Jennifer Lawrence, Oprah, and newly minted style star Lupita Nyong'o were all photographed for the magazine's movie issue, which will be on newsstands just in time for this year's spate of award shows.
Juergen Teller photographed Jennifer, Oprah, and Lupita for their covers, as well as Matthew McConaughey, Amy Adams, and Cate Blanchett. And while a whole host of other actors are also featured inside, perhaps the cutest moment is when Jennifer explains her much-blogged-about fall at last year's Oscars.
"I kept thinking, 'Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk,'" Jennifer said. "I thought, 'Why is cakewalk stuck in my head?' And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, 'Kick, walk, kick, walk.' You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that's why I fell."
You can read all the stars' interviews when the issue lands on newsstands later this month. For now, take a look at Jennifer, Amy, and Lupita's covers here.
