We are thrilled to share this story from Lauren Conrad! The TV personality, writer, designer, and style maven has started LaurenConrad.com, a social networking site that features daily posts by Lauren on all our favorite topics — fashion, beauty, food, party planning — and Lauren will be sharing her latest fashion finds with POPSUGAR Fashion every month. This week, she's giving us her tips on storing or styling handbags.
I hope all of you have been enjoying my Store or Style series so far. Last month in my May Edit, I showed you which shoes I thought were "in" and which ones were "out." Today I'm going to do the same, but with handbags. As I've said before, a purse is like a woman's personal sidekick. So it is important to know which purse trends are coming and going. This summer, I have two styles I am going to be storing away in my closet for another season and two styles that I am going to be wearing around the clock. Here they are . . .
Store: Hobo Bags.
Hobo bags had a big moment a few years ago, but lately this style of handbag has not been my go-to. Unless it's a hobo style shopping bag or grocery bag, I suggest storing this style for another season.

Store: Fringe Details.
I like fringe on swimwear for summer, but lately I have gotten a little tired of this detail on purses. Fringe will surely come back around again when boho has another big moment though so don't toss your fringed items. In fact, fringed bags are almost always in style for Coachella! The backpack trend has also come and gone, so the style above is definitely one to retire for a while for more reasons than one.

Style: Structured Ladylike Bags.
I think it's safe to say that structured ladylike bags will never go out of style in my book. They are a classic style that adds instant polish to any outfit. This summer I've been wearing my blush-toned purses frequently. It's a pretty, soft color that goes with almost everything. To shop the style above, click here.
Style: Bucket Bags.
Bucket bags have recently replaced the backpack trend that was big in the spring. The structure of a bucket bag makes it easy to reach for your purse necessities, and it's almost as hands-free as a cross-body bag. I love the Kate Spade bucket bag above because of the bow detail. Too cute.
