Hi, I'm Allie Merriam. Welcome back to PopSugar TV. Today we're going by our style direct, Noria Morales, who has all the details on what to pack when your putting a bag together for a last minute getaway for the weekend. Noria, where do we begin? Well, I think always start with a bikini, this is by Basta Surf. It's a classic triangle bikini, but what's great about it is it's reversible. Yeah. So, wear it one way one day, you can wear it another way the next day. We love a two for one. Yes. Now what if we need to get a bit fancier? We can't go around in our bikini the whole time even though some of us would love to. I think go for a perfect cover-up dress. This is by Calypso. It's a beautifull black and white paisley print. It's linen. It's really soft and breathable. You can wear it to the beach with your sandals or you can dress it up a little for evening. And it's quite thick as well, so it seems like something you can wear whether you were going to take it to the beach or up to the mountains. Now if we need to get a bit more casual, what do you recommend? White jeans and a tee. I think that that's a summer classic, that's what you should go for. We found these by M.I.H It's a crop style, skinny, it's got a little bit of stretch to it. So, it's a really friendly thing to wear. It will look great every time. Yes, love the way jeans this summer. It's one of the biggest jean trend right now, wouldn't you say? Absolutely, I think white jeans are the eternal summer trend. Yeah, very classic, and what about on top? I think for summertime you want something really light, wavy and drapey. There's this by Club Monaco, I think this is a great t-shirt. It's got a really pretty scoop neck. It's got a zipper in the back for a little extra special detail. The zipper detail is really great because it does differentiate somewhat from your typical jeans. Absolutely, it's just a little something special. Now, what is this colorful piece that we have over there? This is so pretty. This is a sarong by Roberta Roller Rabbit. She's well known for doing these exotic print and beautiful summertime pieces. I'm glad. But it's such a bold print you use it as a sarong, you can tie it a thousand ways for the beach, you can use it as a picnic blanket. and, the best part is at night you can wrap it and use it as a scarf. Now, are these beads we have on here. They are, isn't the the nicest detail? There are these tiny little beads, it just dresses it up. up a little bit. All these pieces are fantastic. But, I personally struggle with editing down to one pair of shoes because it's very difficult, you don't know where you're going to be. What do you suggest for picking just one pair. I recommend a sandal that's really versatile, it can go from day to night. I love these by Matt Bernson. This is a really pretty nude sandal. Simple, classic, but it's got this cool setting which I think gives it a little something special. and it also has the tiniest wedge heel. So, it's not like it's overwhelming and you're not going to be able to wear them out at night. It's comfortable enough you can wear these during the day, wear them to the beach beach. I mean they're well made, so they are going to withstand everything. I love the reasonable heel because you never know how far you're going to be walking, so you definitely. want to be comfortable. At the end of the day, one pair of shoes can totally serve you for those quick weekend trips and I think that this kind of sandal is the ones that will do it. these pieces are all wonderful and colorful for the weekend but what do we put them? So, two bags I'd suggest. One is a great weekend bag, this is by DKNY. It's a mix of brown leather and nylon. It's smaller so you're not gonna pack a lot in it- it's really lightweight, you can throw it over your shoulder but it's also got this great stap for going cross-body or if you have to walk around a little bit. But this is something that's so durable you can carry it everywhere. Yeah, this is great and with the long strap I can envision somebody walking through the train station, trying to make their train. But, not without the bag. So, the thing with that bag though you don't want to take that while out shopping or going to the beach. So, that's why I recommend a [xx] bag. Believe it or not, this holds this bag right here. These are great. You unfold it. It's perfect for shopping, going to the Farmer's Market market, going to the beach. Everything fits in it and it folds up into this little, tiny square so it takes up no space in your weekend bag. These are all fantastic tips but what is your professional piece of advice for the one thing people should avoid when they're putting their bags together? Well I think it's learning to just say no and I think that sometimes we I'll think, "Oh, I need something for nighttime, evening meals, daytime, what if this happens?" You just need essentials. Learn how to accessorize different ways, so you can pack like a couple of necklaces all these things work in [xx] ways, so that you will always look amazing, and you're not lugging around [xx]. Well, thank you so much for all these tips I'm ready for a weekend getaway, I don't know about you. I'm Allie Merriam, thanks for watching PopSugar TV.
