Hi. It's Allison McNamara and you're watching Fab Flash. With Memorial Day comes summer barbeques, pool parties, and the beach, so we put together four great outfits to keep you looking chic no matter what your plans are for the long weekend. Whether you're partying by the pool or going to a beach barbeque, you can't go wrong with a little white dress. We love this button-up collared version by Theory called the Seretta lawn dress. It's clean silhouette makes it really versatile because you can dress it up or keep it simple. We suggest you play off the simplicity of the dress and choose these minimalist nude and black Domina flats by Phillip Lim. Then, adding this season's must-have fabrication, Rafia, via this Tory Burch basket weave tote that's the perfect size to throw in essentials, like sunglasses bikini and sunscreen. All together, you have a classic look that's effortlessly pulled together. Hey now, we're obsessed with all the tropical prints for summer at Stella McCartney, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Altuzarra. So we created an outfit with that Hawaiian-style vibe, this retro tropical-print swimsuit from JETS by Jessika Allen is the main piece, and ideal for a beach party. Bring out the vibrant color in the plantation halter neck bikini top and bottom by wearing it with bright orange cutoff shorts. Jeans by Christopher Kane for J Brand are our favorite right now because the fit is amazing. Since we have a lot of color, tone down the look with a breezy white button-up Boy By Band of Outsiders, cotton and silk shirt is a great versatile option and it adds a little polish to the look. And instead of reaching for black sunglasses, try out these round, tortoise-shell, Helter Skelter sunglasses by Karen Walker. They look good on lots of different face shapes. Finish it off with Topshop's Houpla tan leather sandals. I have these and they are so incredibly comfortable. If you want something a little dressier for the day, a maxi dress is a really stylish option. We spotted seafoam green maxi dresses at Vera Wang and Tory Burch and we love this look and color for daytime. This printed pastel dress from By Malene Birger is made out of flowy chiffon and will look so pretty on a beautiful summer day. Give the breezy silhouette structure with this Elizabeth and James emery white blazer. And complete the casually elegant look with metallic sandals. We love these simple black and silvery Amber flats from Tibi. For this outfit, we went for a classic nautical look using basics you may already have in your closet. If you plan on staying out from day to night, choose a lightweight sweater. Stripes are a closet mainstay, and if you don't already have one, this v-neck Rag and Bone Fenland Swing top is a classic choice. Play up a nautical theme and pair your stripes with cropped red jeans. These rolled skinny low-rise jeans from Current/Elliot are really flattering. The cropped pants let you show off a fun pair of shoes, and we love these ankle strap sandals sandals by Cheap Monday. If you need an extra layer, top it off with a mid-wash denim jacket, like this 70's vintage piece from MOTO by Topshop. And complete the outfit with thick, black frames from Alexander Wang. So, whether you're hitting the beach or heading to a barbeque, hopefully we've given you some good ideas for your Memorial Day outfit. I'm Allison McNamara, and I'll see you next time right here on FabSugar TV.
