So yes, I do this sometimes. It depends. I don't like true red lipsticks (makes teeth look yellow) so I wouldn't match this, but I have matched plum and mauve shades. I think the photo looks goofy though. If she'd toned it down, gone with a more muted shade or a gloss instead of matte, it might've worked. I do have a lip gloss that has a hint of orange in it, and have worn this with orangey tops.
