Honestly, I couldn't stand having to wear the same items all the time because they had to be expensive designer pieces.
I have a closet chock full of unique, gorgeous items from thrift stores! It's brilliant because it means I can afford to always be wearing something different!
Look, I feel lucky to find clothing in the first place, regardless of "quality". There is no H&M, Zara or Mango for plus sizes -- and there sure as heck isn't a Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Juicy Couture or Yves St. Laurent for us -- there isn't even an Alice & Olive!. We get the fat girl ghetto in department stores (most of them, anyway), Lane Bryant, Avenue, Catherine's and that is pretty much all. Sure, there are online retailers, but it is all of about the same freaking quality. I don't have the luxury of choice implied by this quiz: just another reminder that I'm not good enough for fashion in this day and age (thx for rubbing it in, FabSugar).
Designer only - H&M, ZARA, and the like are bad quality.
more expensive DOES NOT mean higher quality.
I gree...quality is much more important to me than quantity.
quality always comes first...
More for Less, to a DEGREE. it still has to be good quality, maybe just not designer. i chose "depends" because there are certain things that require quality over quantity (outerwear, bags...)
Quality over quantity. However, it depends on the item.
same, theperfectscore. i have a few items that are indulgent, but essentially i have to get it AND buy groceries and books. one day it'll be on the other side...anyone hiring?
in makeup: mOre!..... on clothes: lesS!...... .. or someties it depends on the item... but most of the time is less.
"Disposable", trendy items from big retail chains such as Forever 21, Target, and Wet Seal. The quality isn't that great, but chances are you'll only wear it one season. Items that you'll wear forever or investment pieces, go for the more expensive items (usually quality items cost more-you really do get what you pay for). If you are on a budget, ebay and thrift stores are a great alternative.
I'm all about quantity over quality and not ashamed of it! I'm just so fickle about fashion that I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that I might not like in a year. Plus I love that feeling of going shopping and having a bunch of bags full of stuff!
I am a poor college student... so if I can get more decent items for less then I am surely gona take it... I don't want blatantly cheap tho
I never compromise on quality. Quality is number one!
I'll pay more for classics (trench, blazer, etc) but buy more of the cheap, trendy items.
I'd definitely pay more for items that will last through seasons and different trends (such as a quality purse, dark denim jeans, and a beautiful coat). As for shirts, certain accessories, and jackets, I opt for something cheaper.. such as Forever21, H&M, mango, Urban Outiftters, etc.
I prefer quality but I can't necessarily afford to save up for designer unless something isn't that expensive in the first place and I can get it cheaper. I also like the idea of going to places where I can get better made stuff through a thrift store if there actually was a good one here. That also why I like the idea of vintage in a place where it isn't over priced (like in NYC) and you can get clothes from previous eras where there wasn't mass marketing of more cheaply made clothing and things were well made and made to last.
I prefer quality, I just love the way it feels on my skin. Just like a good pair of jeans (real cotton feels so much better)
I would have said more for less, except for that bit about the mass retailers. I generally dislike mass retailers' quality, so I prefer to buy higher-end brands at thrift stores and swap meets. That way, I get the quality AND the quantity... so spoiled...
quality is more important to me. It we last long then poorly made things.
Less pieces of better quality, I would replace often though, since I hate cluttered closets or spaces.
I picked Less for More. I give away so much of my stuff that I'd hate to have the tags/receipts and see how much $$ it all was. I'd rather have fewer pieces that are cost more (also have better quality) and just accent them with other stuff. This doesn't mean I won't go nuts in Zara, or H&M, but it's a process! LOL :-)
kate is so pretty :)
