>>  The last time Vogue so blatantly promoted a movie on their cover was Kirsten Dunst's September 2006 Marie Antoinette cover — and at least it had a fashion connection.  After April's controversial cover, we're back to drawing from the same old pool of actresses.  May 2008 brings us Gwyneth Paltrow, accompanied by Iron Man helmet.

Not much creativity here . . . take away the necklace Stam wore on the Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2008 runway, and the two girls could be twins: light skin, blonde hair in loose curls, even the poses are similar.  And I wonder, what's the likelihood that Vogue got paid to have that helmet on the cover?
