Where: Museum of the City of New York, NYC
When: Open now
What: This is the first exhibition of work by designer Stephen Burrows — who in 1977 was called "the brightest star of American fashion" by The New York Times. The show explores Burrows's use of bright colors, metallic fabrics, and silhouettes that skimmed the body. It also traces his history from designing clothes for friends to becoming the first black designer with an international presence.
