We Can't Help but Think Meghan Markle's First Wedding Dress Was Inspired by Kate Middleton

With the news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement, people are trying to find out as much about his stylish bride-to-be as they possibly can. One question that's been at the top of our list is what will Meghan's wedding dress look like? While the Suits actress has revealed that her favorite celebrity wedding dress belonged to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, we hunted down her first wedding dress to use as a clue for what she might choose for her upcoming nuptials.

Meghan's first marriage was to producer Trevor Engelson and took place in Jamaica back in 2011. For the beach wedding, Meghan opted for a beautiful strapless gown that featured a v-neckline and an embellished band around the waist. She kept her accessories simple with a gold bracelet and her wedding band. In fact, her gown reminds us of Kate Middleton's wedding reception dress. (Yes, she wore two designs!) Kate switched into a strapless gown by Alexander McQueen after her ceremony and covered her shoulders with a fuzzy shrug.
