Eh, who am I to judge. All I know is I personally make an effort to live a good, pure life, and men respect me for it. I come from the old school, believing that you can't turn a ho into a housewife, but instead of forcing my beliefs on others I try to influence others by being a lady. I only wish there were more TV shows that praised clean living and abstinence, rather than treating it like Right-Wing radical nonsense.

great post. I think the writer made accurate references to SATC and some major women's health issues. It doesn't have to be 100% accurate for each episode of each season just pointing out major important women's health tips that can get lost in most people infatuation with the "glamorous" lifestyle. Great post because it was a thought piece not just a review of some pilates book or machine.

I think PeachesnCrer got it right. Overall these "Sexy" girls were/are not the greatest role models. We watched because their lifestyle was such a fantasy, a lot of "I, Me My" moments. Like watching "Housewives of..." each week.As real people their lives may be admirable and imitation worthy, but as TV characters, I don't think so. I often hoped very young girl watchers wouldn't think this was a lifestyle to emulate.Entertainment, Yes! Healthy, Nope!

well if you think about it, carrie was pretty unhealthy, but i think that was part of her character. her priorities were different. but as everybody else pointed out, this list is kind of a stretch.and that brunch slide is ridic.

WOW girls. I'm guessing I'm reading comments from some major SATC fans. The writer of this blog, I believe was probably hitting on points that people often think are sexy or healthy (especially those on the younger side, and KUDOS if you know better), don't get your panties in a bunch about whether or not the ENTIRE show did or didn't somehow fix or hit on every. single. tip. Safe sex, not smoking, being careful about what you drink, eating healthy throughout the day etc, are all helpful pointers, regardless- and this show was definitely a great example for it.

Hmmm...I normally LOVE FitSugar stuff but this was offensive to my intelligence. Seriously...did the person who "researched" this watch SATC!?!? Charlotte's running, Miranda training for the NY Marathon, Samantha's love of Pilates...none of that was even remotely considered! Two big thumbs down on this!

You can get some STDs (e.g. herpes) through contact with skin that isn't covered with a condom. You can also get gonorrhea, herpes, and chlamydia through oral or from touching someone's genitals and then touching your own face. Chlamydia can cause eye infections - this happened to a friend of mine! So I don't believe a real-life Samantha would be STD-free.

misspretty, actually Sam admitted to a few times of not using condoms when she had an HIV test, Charlotte got crabs, Carrie had an abortion (as did Sam twice), and um, Miranda got pregnant!!! So, yeah, safe sex wasn't always practiced. Carrie was also on and off with the smoking.

Question to staff: Did the person writing this ever actually watch the show?

Yeah this slideshow is inaccurate. Samantha definitely practiced safe sex, the ladies definitely worked out and you did see them drinking red wine. The only thing is Carrie smoking, which is gross. Sorry, this one is off. But the tips are good

Um... SATC ALSO showed the girls working out numerous times in classes and jogging, eating lunches, dinners and more than one meal a day, and Samantha told a doctor she used condoms. m'kay?
