This month, we're welcoming Spring with open arms, but staying cozy while we do. We're gearing up with fun crops and light jackets to layer up during our workouts, then taking in a few fun outdoor events that celebrate the season. Check out our must haves for March!

S'well Water Bottle

S'well Water Bottle

I've been keeping this S'well Sparkling Champagne water bottle ($45 for the 25-ounce size) in full view to make sure I drink enough water every day. Not only is it pretty to look at, but it keeps my water cold and holds 25 ounces, which means fewer trips to the watercooler during office hours. It's not all workhorse, though — the large size means this shimmery bottle is big enough to hold an entire bottle of wine when the weekend hits. Spring picnics, I'm ready for you.

Coola SPF Sunscreen Spray

Coola SPF Sunscreen Spray

After a lifetime of slathering on whatever sunscreen I could find laying around, I have become a brand loyalist to Coola's Sport SPF 50 Unscented Sunscreen Spray ($32). While some may balk at its higher price point, it's an investment I'm OK paying and completely worth it when it comes to protecting my skin from the sun's harsh rays.

Made from 70-percent organic ingredients, I love that Coola goes on without leaving the sticky film that most spray sunscreens tend to do. And while the unscented sunscreen spray is my favorite, Coola also offers scented sprays in piña colada and citrus mimosa for those days when you need a little tropical-infused aromatherapy. Water resistant for up to 80 minutes and quick to go on, it's the perfect accompaniment to an outdoor workout. It's just an added bonus that it's also made with ingredients that help hydrate the skin and have antiaging benefits.

Yuve Protein Powder

Yuve Protein Powder

If you're looking for a plant-based protein powder that is seriously delicious, pick up a tub of Yuve Raw Chia Seeds & Cocoa ($50). The texture is completely smooth, and the flavor is mildly sweet and chocolaty — not at all chalky or artificial tasting like some brands can be. It's dairy- and soy-free, non-GMO, and is made with a combination of real ingredients, including pea protein, brown rice, kale, goji berries, chia seeds, flaxseeds, spirulina, spinach, broccoli, and cocoa. Amazing, right? Each 155-calorie serving offers four grams of fiber and 16 grams of protein. I usually add half a serving to my regular smoothie recipe, but you could also mix a whole serving with coconut water or almond milk for a delicious post-workout snack.

Vimmia Splice 3/4 Legging

Vimmia Splice 3/4 Legging

It's time to shed full-length running tights and show some ankle! I am digging the slight compression feel I get from the Splice 3/4 Legging ($110) by Vimmia. The wicking fabric is soft but a bit thicker than most running capris to provide a little extra support for my hardworking legs. With a zippered pocket on the back of the thick, comfortable waistband, these have quickly become my go-to running capris. The strategically placed seams make this legging stylish and flattering.

GapFit Breathe Tee

GapFit Breathe Tee

For the warmer yet blustery Spring days, when a jacket is too heavy and a tank top leaves you too exposed, this Breathe long-sleeved tee ($24, originally $30) from GapFit provides the perfect amount of coverage. Made of incredibly soft, lightweight wicking material, the tee keeps me comfortable on runs both long and short. I am always a sucker for thumbholes on any running top, but I appreciate the large cuffs on this shirt, which help keep the sleeves in place when I push them up my arms as I heat up midrun. This tee is flattering too and just long enough to provide coverage without restricting motion.

Epic Jerky Bites

Epic Jerky Bites

When these brand-new Epic Jerky Bites first arrived on my desk, I was hesitant to taste, but from my first bite of the Epic Uncured Bacon Bites ($7 per package), I was in love. Chewy, smoky, and satisfying — six of these Paleo-friendly protein-packed pieces are just 100 calories with no sugar whatsoever. I ended passing them around the office, but now I'm wishing I had held on to them for myself, so I could grab a handful right now. Luckily, these bites will be available to buy online this month, so I won't have to wait too much longer for another taste.

Lunchbots Bento Cinco

Lunchbots Bento Cinco

Just like gym bags with tons of pockets, I love me a good lunch container with lots of compartments, and the Lunchbots Bento Cinco ($35) fits the bill. It's the perfect container for those who love variety in their lunches from home, and it also helps with portion sizes if you're trying to lose or maintain your weight. Made of dishwasher-safe stainless steel, it offers two larger sections and three smaller ones, perfect for cut-up fruits, fresh or roasted veggies, whole grains, protein-packed foods, and salads. Just know that this container is not water-tight, so skip wet foods like soup and yogurt, and pack dressings and dips separately.

Asics Adjust Bra

Asics Adjust Bra

I'm not the bustiest girl on the block, and I've always opted for cheap, stretchy sports bras with just a little support. That all changed when I wore Asics Adjust Bra ($42) for the first time. It was incredibly comfortable while providing a ton of support, and the molded cups made me feel even more confident in my workout gear. Instead of throwing this bra in my hamper after wearing, I washed this baby immediately, so I could rock it the following day. If that's not a resounding endorsement, I don't know what is.

Los Angeles Marathon

As an Angelean transplant who's lived in San Francisco for close to a decade, I'm excited to go back to my hometown to run the Asics Los Angeles Marathon on March 15. I'll admit, the thought of running in always-hot LA is a little intimidating, but I'm welcoming its flatter terrain, especially since I'm used to hillier courses (even better: I'll be participating in the relay portion, which is half the course instead of the full 26.2 miles). For running daredevils, it's not too late to sign up, but if last-minute marathon racing isn't your thing, check out the course — which winds its way from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica — so you can cheer on the runners if you live in the area.

Wine, Women, and Wellness Weekend

Wine, Women, and Wellness Weekend

Living in San Francisco has several benefits, one of which includes a quick drive to wine country. But if you're not careful, a day of wine tasting can wreak havoc on next-day plans, as you spend the entire day sleeping off Zinfandel. That's why the annual Wine, Women, and Wellness weekend (beginning on March 6) is such a treat. It combines my love of wine with fitness, making for a health-inspired girls getaway. The weekend is spent tasting some of Napa's greatest wines (all made by female winemakers in the region), but each morning kicks off with a workout, which helps set a healthy tone for the rest of the day.

What I am especially excited about is the inclusion of a nutritional seminar led by Sophie Jaffe of Philosophie. A longtime fan of Sophie and her products, I can't wait to hear all her tips for detoxing and recharging the body in a natural way.
