National Yoga Month at CorePower Yoga

Since I am trying to add more yoga to my regular fitness routine, I am especially excited that September is National Yoga Month. Besides it being a gentle reminder to get on the mat, close to 2,000 studios participate by offering a free one-week membership during September.

I'll be spending my free week at CorePower Yoga. I tend to favor power yoga and flow classes, which is exactly CorePower's speciality. But in the spirit of trying new things, I really chose CorePower because a lot of its class offerings are heated and some even include weights. Talk about feeling the burn . . .

Bnto Jar Adapters

Bnto Jar Adapters

If you're a fan of mason jar salads and mason jar snacks, these little Bnto jar adapters ($9) are a game-changer. They sit right on the lip of your wide-mouth mason jar so you can store hummus, salsa, dressing, yogurt, nuts — anything you want to keep separate from the rest of the jar. Brilliant, right?

Under Armour High Bra

Under Armour High Bra

As a runner, I think of a good sports bra is a necessary evil: they can be constricting and uncomfortable, but when you run, you need all the support you can get. The new Armour High bra from Under Armour (currently sold out but available this month), was a complete surprise when I first tried it on. I'm not a complete fan of molded cups (they can make me feel weighed down), but these are lightweight, comfortable, and completely supportive. Plus, while the compression aspect of this bra feels a little uncomfortable whenever I first put it on, once I warm up and get into my run the bra seems to mold to my body and loosen slightly in all the right places without compromising on support. It's also flattering, which is always a plus.

Platejoy

Platejoy

There are a ton of delivery diet plans out there, but Platejoy (prices vary) is right up my alley. Each meal costs about $6 to $7, and the recipes are easy, quick, and delicious. Platejoy requires you to take a brief quiz about your dietary preferences, nutrition needs, and fitness goals, and then it creates your very own personalized diet and menu. Every recipe I've cooked up was delicious, all my produce arrived fresh, the meat is top quality, and delivery was a breeze. I'm hooked.

Hoka One One Trail Runners

Hoka One One Trail Runners

Fall is the perfect time of year to run on woodsy trails, and a pair of these Hoka One One Challenger ATR ($130) sneakers will offer the comfort and grip you need. They're lightweight, and even though the sole is thick to offer amazing shock absorption, I still felt completely agile and in total control of the uneven terrain — even slippery surfaces. The best part? They're great off the trails too, so if you want to mix up your run with some woods and some road, these sneakers will keep up. Plus I love the bright fuchsia/plum color combo, but if you're not a fan, they also come in four other fun colors.

21 Drops Daily Dose

21 Drops Daily Dose

Scent is powerful; the right candle can make any night better or a whiff of too-strong perfume can seriously spoil the mood. Now that I've tried 21 Drops Daily Dose ($25) I'm hooked on this accessible essential oil line. From my first wear of the Focus Blend, I was truly surprised at how energized and sharp my mind felt; I've been keeping it ready to go on my desk ever since. If you're interested in aromatherapy and aren't sure where to start, do yourself a favor and try this kit. You will not regret it.

DIY Almond Milk Kit

DIY Almond Milk Kit

If you've ever had freshly made almond milk, then you know that it's leagues better than what you'll find at most stores. But if you haven't had the delicious treat, this DIY Almond Milk Kit ($30) from Can Can Cleanse is for you. It has all the supplies you need to make your own nut milk at home and also includes enough ingredients to make two batches.

Having tasted Can Can's almond milk for myself, I can tell you that its recipe is one of the best out there. Creamy with just enough sweetness from the included dates, it also has a little hint of spice from a hit of cinnamon.

Sabra Farmer's Ranch Greek Yogurt Dip

Sabra Farmer's Ranch Greek Yogurt Dip

I love a good lightened-up snack as much as the next person (especially when you can hardly taste the difference!) but I don't alway have time to whip up a healthy homemade dip. Sabra's most recent offering, Farmer's Ranch (prices vary), is the perfect stand-in for when I don't feel like mixing up my own Greek yogurt ranch. At 40 calories for two tablespoons, the tub is a guilt-free purchase, and I appreciate the nonalarming ingredient list and how fresh the mixed-in veggies taste. With football season starting this month, this dip is a healthy alternative to all the high-calorie snacks on the table.
