I think the actual number of bones in the spine varies depending on resource, interpretation, and individual. Some say 26 bones, others say up to 33 if you count the Cervical Vertebrae, Thoracic Vertebrae, Lumbar Vertebrae, Sacrum, and Coccyx (tail-bone, which usually has 4 vertebrae but can actually have 3-5).Just my 0.02!
