Shopping in the produce aisle has been a little sad lately. I miss all the delicious fresh fruit of Summer. Now if I want fresh blueberries, I have to pay about $5 for half a pint. I splurged one day because I had a huge craving, and was sorely let down by the mushy, tasteless flesh — once again proving to myself that buying seasonal produce is the best way to go. Looking around, I noticed there are many other fruits to enjoy this time of year, although some are more in season than others. This info came from NutritionData, and it looks like many of their numbers were incorrect (I think something funky is going on with their site). So I adjusted the numbers (with the help of Calorie King). Thanks for all your comments!

although this info is great and stuff, i don't think counting calories in fruit and veggies is all that cool. i mean, they are completely whole and natural. that's what should count, not the amount of sugar, cals, etc.!!

yeah.... the calories seem to be a wee bit off for some of the fruits. unless i've been looking at the wrong calorie sites.

The apple seems kinda high...thought it was around 75 cal.

Yeah, that kiwi count jumped out at me as wrong, unless it's supposed to be for two.

Ok this is not right...according to calorie counting sites (calorieking and caloriecounter)1 medium tangerine has 46ccal (not 103!);1 medium kiwi fruit has 47ccal and half of 1 large grapefruit has about 53ccal.
