Carrie Fisher Loses Weight With Jenny Craig

Carrie Fisher Signs On as Jenny Craig Spokesperson

Picking up where Sara Rue left off, Carrie Fisher is taking over as the latest celebrity spokesperson for Jenny Craig. Even though she was fighting off the likes of Boba Fett, in her Jenny Craig blog Carrie writes that she wishes she still "had the body I had when I was attached to that giant slug and wearing that metal bikini." During the Star Wars era, the 5'1" actress weighed 105 lbs. After reaching her heaviest mark — 180 lbs. — she turned toward Jenny Craig for help.

For Carrie, the weight came on slowly and steadily. She found emotional comfort in food and grazed mindlessly. Since joining Jenny Craig in November, the actress has lost 12 pounds by eating plan-approved meals and exercising five days a week. On the move to Jenny Craig, Carrie tweeted: "I'm starting on my latest adventure Wishful Shrinking w/ the help of Jenny Craig. Wish me low calorie luck . . . I feel like a total gonk promoting anything, it's not my style. But it actually works so there."

mmmm... aiming to look like a 20 year old when you're over 50 seems off. I think the primary focus should be health, not weight. she could still be as sexy as she was in the bikini, but healthy and fit.

Carrie Fisher has talked about her cocaine addiction a billion times. And she even talked on several Star Wars documentaries and behind the scenes shows. She also wrote about the seriousness of her addiction in numerous articles. And how when she started Episode IV she was told to lose weight and she was tiny then so she learned to purge then she got into drugs with her friends. Then Lucas sprung that tiny bikini on her & she stopped eating and boosted her cocaine use to ease her discomfort with her body being exposed. Then again Carrie is also bi-polar, drug addiction, and eating disorder etc that's a lot to deal with.

@wackdoodle, how do you know that? I'm really curious because I've never heard that before. Was I under a rock somewhere?

When Carrie fit into the Metal Princess Leia bikini she was using A LOT of cocaine every day and she was bulimic. She had an addiction to rival John Belushi's addiction. Is that something that anyone should aim for? Even she doesn't want to get skinny again via that unhealthy method - blow & purging.
