Champagne With the Least Amount of Calories

Drink This Champagne If You Want to Save Calories

We'll be ringing in the New Year soon, and for many of us, that means a Champagne toast or two — or three! While the average glass (four-ounce pour) of Champagne isn't too bad at 91 calories, try toasting with brut Champagne if you're watching your calorie and sugar intake. Brut is Champagne speak for "dry" and signifies a lower sugar content, resulting in a glass of bubbly that only contains about 65 calories. And the drier the Champagne, the better it tastes with salty and savory celebratory foods like low-calorie oysters and caviar!

I don't really care much for champagne, but I'll ring in the new year with my favorite cocktail...Fresca with a shot of vodka and a packet of Crystal Light To Go. It's pretty yummy and it only has 60 calories per serving of vodka that you use.

I'll most likely be doing Jameson shots and drinking Guinness to celebrate the new year. I'll be at a Flogging Molly concert. However Korbel Brut is generally my champagne of choice.

I'm usually one who doesn't drink at all (very often I'm the one driving) but I plan on not watching what I drink this new year's. Fortunate for me, my favourite drinks are Prosecco and White Wine with Soda (a Spritzer!), so I'm going relatively low-cal as far as alcohol is concerned.

oooh thank you for this reminder. i don't like having the empty calories of champagne -but we all know that the toast is something that everyone does. :) finding a dry wine will definitely make things a little bit better!
