These are all very good tips, especially the one about treating all your muscles the same. One tip I wish was here, though, is "not lifting enough weight." The last few reps should be a struggle. We get stronger by lifting heavier weights, breaking down muscle, and building it back up. That can't happen if we stick to 3 and 5-lb dumbbells (though for working smaller muscle groups those weights can certainly be appropriate).

i love strength training! i always feel my best when i include working on my strength instead of just cardio! :]
