Use organic ingredients when possible

*good source of fiber

  • ½ cup sliced strawberries*
  • ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)*
  • ½ cup dandelion greens*

  • ¼ cup milk of your choice (I used coconut milk)
  • 1 tbsp. white chia seed (optional)
  • 1 tsp. coconut butter

Never would've thought. The smoothie looks great though! I'll have to try it this summer.

What a great recipe! I will have to try this on a hot summer day! It is so interesting that you could use dandelion. I did not know much about dandelion so I looked it up on the Natural Standard website. Dandelion can be used as an antioxidant or anti-inflammatory. It has also been shown effective for diabetes and for the use as a diuretic. Natural Standard was founded by healthcare providers and researchers to provide high-quality, evidence-based information about complementary and alternative medicine including dietary supplements and integrative therapies. The website gives grades that reflect the level of available scientific data for or against the use of each therapy for a specific medical condition. You can also use the website to look up the health benefits for blueberries, chia seeds, and strawberries! \u00a0
