Did You Watch the Olympics? Medal Count For Winter Olympics

Did You Watch the Winter Games?

As soon as the closing ceremony for the Vancouver games started, so did my Winter Olympic withdrawals. From the women's downhill to men's figure skating, this year's games did not disappoint. For those of you that may have missed the final count, here's the top six medal winners by nation.

Gold Silver Bronze Total
United States 9 15 13 37
Germany 10 13 7 30
Canada 14 7 5 26
Norway 9 8 6 23
Austria 4 6 6 16
Russia 3 5 7 15

Although I got a bunch of my Olympic news and results in real time from Twitter, I spent more than a few nights glued to my set. How about you . . .

I am definitely experiencing withdrawals! I got really into speed skating, skiing, & ice skating especially. Hate that it will be 2014 before any of those get major recognition again...

I live in Vancouver, so I got to experience a lot of the Olympic spirit first hand, and was amongst the crowds downtown while we celebrated Canada's hockey gold. What I didn't experience live, was experienced by being glued to our TV, which was not taken off a channel broadcasting Olympic events, for the entire two weeks. It was an unbelievable one time experience and I am definitely going through major Olympics withdrawal.

I was glued to Eurosport every free moment I had watching the Olympics, but the fun doesn't stop there- now it's the conclusion of the FIS World Cup in Germany, and to be honest I need a little break because tennis will be starting again soon, not to mention the Football World Cup...2010 is going to be, much like 2008, a year of sports!

kinda sorta. I still have the closing ceremonies to watch since I DVRd quite a bit of the Olympics. tho i did watch the gold medal hockey game live (by myself) and lost my voice screaming at the TV. So close USA so close..... damn. i just love watching the games winter and summer. the talent, the skill, the freaking athleticism. yes, i am a fan of the Olympics.

I watched some of the women's downhill skiing over Valentine's weekend, but that's all I saw, and it was only because I was hanging out with someone who wanted to watch them, lol. I just have no interest at all in the Olympics--summer OR winter. *shrug* But I am SO happy that we're getting some shows back this week!!! Especially THE OFFICE on Thursday! OMG!

I watched but I'm not going thru withdrawls at all. In fact, it will be nice to get to bed before midnight!

Am missing the hyped up feeling, but def not missing snarkiness nor the forced late nights due to delayed viewings. >(

Nah, I didn't really watch the games. I'm not THAT into them and there is usually better TV on cable, so I only watched a few choice events.
