Do You Always Eat Breakfast?

It took me a long time to realize that breakfast is one meal not to be compromised. Not only does it give me the energy to start my day, it revs up my metabolism, and keeps my hunger from spiking at lunchtime. If you ask me, those are three solid reasons to always eat breakfast. Eating in the morning doesn't come naturally to some people, so tell me, do you make breakfast a priority?

i am a major AM slacker. so i stay in bed until the last minute. i usually have a snack mid-morning. i do big breakfast on the weekends, eggs, omelets, etc

I love breakfast! It gives me a chance to relax before work during the week - I like to take at least half an hour for breakfast and do some reading or something else similarly enjoyable at the same time.

I have learned that breakfast is so important. Even though I typically am not too hungry when I wake up, I always eat a small protein based breakfast every morning. This is what I alternate between: one fried egg on spelt english muffin, one cup of goat milk yogurt w/ plain granola and dried berries, Optimum Rebound cereal (by Natures Path) w/ hempmilk and banana. and of course a cup of coffee w/ soymilk creamer. If I'm really running late or on-the-go, I just grab a banana and a piece of yogurt cheese.

I try to eat breakfast everyday, even if it's just a piece of toast and a cup of tea.

I try to put something in my stomach every morning even when I feel I would really rather just go without ... cos it's true - you just feel so much better during the rest of the day when you've had a good breakfast.

Not only do I always eat breakfast, I always COOK my breakfast. Those prepackaged breakfast bars or muffins just don't cut it for me.

i eat a small bowl of apple cinnamon cheerios every morning. even though it's not much, i still need to have something in my stomach to start the day and make it to lunch!

kittykat83- if you have a breakfast with fiber, protein, and healthy fats, it should keep you full for three hours at the VERY least. if you're getting hungry in an hour and a half, i would look to the nutritional value of your breakfast. hunger is your body asking for fuel...not eating breakfast is just masking the hunger, and then your body doesn't get the nutrients that it needs.

Back in 2000 I kept gaining weight and would starve myself all day and then have ramen noodles or whatever was cheap at night (my husband was very cheap and that was what I was 'allowed' to have). Mix that with PCOS and the hypothyroidism and it brought my weight up to 310 pounds. I started eating breakfast and dropped 20 pounds within a few weeks. I kicked the soda habit for water and another 16 pounds went too.

I eat if I'm hungry... but I'm usually not. Although at times I'll force myself if I really need to. But whether I eat bfast or not doesn't affect my energy throughout the day.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day...can't live without it!To all the people who say that it makes them hungry: that's because it gets your metabolism going! It actually makes your body start burning calories. As an athlete, breakfast is an important fuel, and personally I don't think you can call yourself "healthy" and skip meals.

I wake up ravenous every day, and head down to the kitchen before I do anything else. A bowl of Kashi Go Lean Crunch and some Activia automatically puts me in an amazing mood for the day!
