Do You Always Exercise at the Same Time of Day?

I tend to be a creature of habit in almost everything, except exercise. While my husband consistently exercises in the morning, I am more flexible with my workout schedule. I jump around from an early morning swim, to a run at lunch, or an after-work workout. It all depends on my schedule for the day. I know a lot of folks like to exercise at the same time each day, but many of us do not have a reliable schedule. What about you? Do you always exercise at the same time of the day?

I have 2 hours to spare during the day, at my lunch break. So that's the best time for me. In the morning and after work I'm usually to lazy. Though I started to do strength training in the morning and only cardio during the lunch break.

i workout but not at the same time. I take my time. It doesnt matter when, it just matters THAT you do it! :)

Mon-Fri I workout at 530am and on Saturdays around 8 or 9am. If I can't do my workout early in the morning, then I try to do it when I can but I make sure it gets done. But, I prefer getting it done first thing in the morning to get it out of my way :)

I usually go an hour or so after lunch, it's the best time of day for me in terms of performance. I sometimes go in the morning after breakfast if I have plans later but find I get weak and shaky and my performance isn't as good.

I work out after work, its the only time I could fit exercise in my schedule. Although with the it getting brighter and warmer ealier in the morning I may start running again.

I don't work out at the same time of day every day, but I do always work out as soon as I wake up...that time varies between 3 am and 8 am, depending on when I go to work. If I don't work out as soon as I get up, I'm much more likely to skip it and then I feel kind of "blah" all day. If I get my workout in, I feel a lot more energized for the rest of the day.

Pilates is a morning class before work - hiking with the dog is after work. So I flip flop every other day. Weekend is whenever I get bored and the Y is open or it's not too hot out.

It depends on my training sked. If I need to swim 60 min and run 75, then I'll swim in the am, and run in the pm. If it's 45 min on the trainer, I'll just do it after work.

i really switch it up. most days i'll get a noontime workout because it fits best with my schedule, but sometimes i'll pull an hour here and an hour there. i went to the gym at 7:30 this morning to run, and then went back at 1pm for a yoga class. sometimes i work out at 9pm-ish too, but obviously not on the days when i wake up early to run!

I run every weekday at lunch time, and on Saturdays I always run at 9am, so it's the same schedule everyday, everyweek, every month basically except for an occasional day with a lunch meeting or when I'm on vacation.

I tried a couple of different things, but I finally found a schedule that I would actually stick to! I work out just a little in the morning--about 20 minutes, take a walk at lunch--15-30 minutes, and then work out as soon as I get home--25-45 minutes. I do this at least three days a week and I'm seeing results! :-)

I always work out after work unless it's the weekend...I can't wake up and function normally in the morning to work out. I wish I could!

I try to get in walks at lunch sometimes, then I will usually hit the gym after work. But on the weekends, I get my workout in during the early afternoon.

I take boxing twice a week at night and workout at the gym 3-4 times a week before work. I am not a morning person and never thought I'd be able to get my butt out of bed before work to workout. Because of my recent busy schedule I've had no choice but to wake up early and go. Let me tell you- I don't think I'd want it any other way! I literally drag to the gym, but after a few minutes of cardio I feel great and I'm energized for the day! Here's the key though, for me: make sure to eat a piece of fruit beforehand. Otherwise I have a difficult time getting my energy up.

Mid-morning workouts work best for me, which means they are limited to my day off and weekends. My commute is too long to go after work.
