Here's Exactly How Much You Should Be Exercising If You Sit at a Desk All Day, Says Science

Do You Enjoy Working Out?

This might not seem like much of a shocker, but I honestly enjoy working out. Lately, I just don't really feel fully awake until I have gotten my heart rate up or challenged my muscles. I find myself looking forward to running and mapping out my route days ahead of time. I know everyone does not feel this; some of my closest friends roll their eyes at me when I start talking fitness. For them, working out is drudgery and something they have to force themselves to do or something they just avoid. To each his own. But what about you?

I love working out...I HATE the mile and a half walk to the gym. It takes so much time out of my day just getting to and from the gym.

I hate NOT working out. I love running, yoga class, weights, elliptical, whatever I can get my hands and feet on because I love how accomplished it makes me feel. Plus, I gotta love doing something that helped me drop 3-4 dress sizes in 6+ months! Right now I do it to relax and unwind, besides burning calories and building stronger muscles (and looking my best all the time). Other people go shopping or sleep all day to relax, I spend my free days working out. It's like dessert for my body.

I like working out because I feel so good after. I feel a lot happier after working out. It's a great feeling. I love it! I have just started playing Tennis again and I'm joining the gym this week:) I feel great!

I love working out! I sometimes don't feel like starting my workout, but I know that once I start, I'll feel better. Once I'm about 20 minutes into my workout, I feel pretty awesome and when I'm done, I feel great.

I love running, but I hate running on the treadmill. But ever since I started exercise, in times of stress whenever I don't have enough time to run outside, working out at the gym certainly gives the energy boost! =)

I love going to classes- cardio kickboxing, yoga, I love them. My latest kick is bar method, and I look forward to it each time I go. However, I can't stand running outside (no motivation- I end up taking leisurely strolls =x). But no matter what I do, I always feel great afterwards- it's getting to the gym that's the tough part!

i like it most of the time, but i'll get those days where i'm running and my legs just feel like hams. i also am not a huge fan of the gym..so boring sometimes. but the good runs outnumber the bad ones, plus it's SLOWLLLYYY getting warmer!

98% of the time I'm in heaven when I work out. The first few minutes are rough, but once I warm up I find it tough to quit..sometimes I even set an extra few minutes on the treadmill while running. The other 2% of the time is just being feeling under the weather or over trained...in that case I take a hint from my body and take a day or two off so that I can go back to enjoying my workouts.

Most of the time I like it once I get going, but some days it's much harder than others. This past week has been really tough. I slipped on some ice last saturday and i hurt my wrist and my bottom so finding things I can actually do is majorly frustrating.

I'm mostly like the anonymous poster. I love working out outdoors, but I really don't love the gym. I enjoy how I feel afterward, maybe, and the strength training is useful, but it's not a pleasant experience that I look forward to.

I don't have trouble motivating myself to work out, and during the work out it's like I'm having the time of my life...I'm always sad that it has to end though, the last 5 or so minutes of my work out (or sport activity) are really depressing

i feel like absolute crap if i don't work out. for the first few minutes, sometimes i really wonder why i am setting off to put my body through such rigorous paces, but then endorphins kick in, i zone out, and i love love love the feeling of my body working.
