We Tried the Boutique Studio Class Your Boyfriend Won't Hate

Do You Exercise With Your Significant Other?

I'm glad to have my husband as a workout buddy. We take yoga classes together and go for hikes and bike rides with the kids. Not only are we burning calories and working our muscles, but it's also a great time to catch up. I love that he motivates me to get moving at times when I'd rather just plop down on the couch and watch reruns of Sex and the City. What about you?

My bf is pretty competitive and kinda sucks the fun out of most workouts and sports.

My boyfriend has this super-intense leg workout he tried to teach me one time and it was insanely hard and then he made a joke about my walking routine which I did NOT appreciate and between that and the pain in my legs I got really sour and started to cry . . . then another time he thought swimming would be good for his injured knee and shoulder so I tried to teach him how to swim and we both got frustrated after the first 20 minutes so I went to my on lane to finish my workout . . . so now, no, we do not workout together.

Sometimes we run, go for walks or play tennis together. He plays hockey on his own and sometimes I run on my own. It's a good mix!

My boyfriend is my personal trainer! So I "work out" with him at least once a week, while I have to follow his plan the rest of the week. Though there are days where we both go to the Jim to work out too. He'll give me pointers here and there while he does his thing.

my hubs and i do capoeira together, and he tries to come running with me whenever i go. A lot of people don't work out b/c they have a hard time finding a buddy to work out with, so i know that i am very lucky to have him come with me.

My boyfriend doesn't work out (he's about to start, though, when the total gym arrives at our house!). I do the elliptical at 5:45 every morning, and I love the time alone. I get to wake up, clear my head, and just zone out for a while. I love it.

No, but it's not because I prefer the alone time, it's because he doesn't work out, despite my invitations to accompany me to the gym.

I go to the gym at 5 am monday thru friday, but my husband only goes with me on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays. Once we get there we will warm up on the eliptical for a little bit, but then we go do our own things.

My husband and I go to the gym together and somethimes we help each other with the weights. I'm specially proud of turning him into a yoga and pilates fan ...somethimes he is the only male in the class. Now I'm trying to convince my brother. Wish me luck

no - we don't have the same workout likes...so we don't actually do it together. the only thing that we do is throw a frisbee....i always try to get him to come to the gym with me, but i've yet to be successful.

My partner and I like too many different things. But exercising together even still, can be great time spent.

my boyfriend and i both play on competitive soccer teams, so we'll go for runs together to stay in shape and help each other practice.

I personally just like to work out alone (well cardio) because I like to get lost in my magazine - This is only when I am indoors on a machine of some sort - but if I am hiking I like to be with at least one other person because I tend to get lost! ha ha!

No, my husband gets plenty of exercise at work, so he prefers not to exercise off the clock.

my boyfriend is my boxing trainer... so when we go to the gym, we both walk out hurting XD

My husband never works out with me. He prefers the couch and the remote and won't exercise ever. But he can get away with it, he is tall and skinny. So I go out for the solo runs and walks on my own.

My bf and I try to hit the gym on Sundays, and I use him as my "protection" in the weight area so I don't get odd looks or stares (as many guys still feel that section of the gym being boys only). He's been really helpful in showing me different types of upper body workouts and variations on stuff I already know. But since I'm training for a marathon, and he's already done one (and his knees are too sore to run), I end up spending a lot of time exercising on my own. That's what calling my girlfriends are for!

My husband doesn't work out, so I always work out alone. He does walk the dog with me sometimes, though.

We work out on the weekends together - biking, hiking, tennis, sometimes soccer, and just walking. But not like gym workouts.

Frisbee, tennis, biking, swimming and kayaking are our common activities, but mostly I dance and go to gym and he exercises at home (or doesn't).

I don't have a bf right now but I like LaurenG's thinking. I wouldn't mind going to the gym with my guy but I wouldn't want to spend every minute with him. I kind of like to isolate myself when working out.
