Do You Have a Gym Membership You Don't Use?

Do You Have a Gym Membership You Don't Use?

Now that Fall has rolled into town, I realize I didn't go to my gym once this Summer. I skipped early morning spin classes for biking outside and ditched the treadmill to take it to the streets. Weight training . . . well I skimped on that a bit last season, but I did manage to fit quick circuit training into my busy weeks. Now that the darker mornings are making it harder to exercise, I can feel that my gym time will be increasing soon. I feel safer under fluorescent lights than exercising on dark roads. What about you?

I'm not much of a gym person. I prefer to work out outdoors or at home, personally. But I just started college last week so I plan to start using my campus gym a few times a week. I like running outside in the fall and winter though, and it fits in my schedule a lot better.

Canceled my gym membership. Finances have me on a short leash so I had to cut things out. :( It's sad because I loved going to the gym for the classes and would go at least 5x a week and do yoga, strength training and cycle. Sucks, because my strength training instructor was saying that October was going to be an exciting month since they were going to unveil new fun classes at 24. I have to start working out at home now. :\

I have a home gym but I'm also a member of the gym at work. Even though I'm only a part-time employee, I use my membership every time I'm there. The staff says I come in more often than the people that work there full-time. It's a nice compliment, but it's also kind of sad that so many people that work there full-time don't use their membership much.

My old gym was dirt cheap and uninspiring, so i rarely went. I joined a more upscale club with a much larger price tag, and now I go 5x per week. I go even when I don't feel like it , because that price tag looms overhead and I hate wasting money. Also my health care provider offers gym reimbursement as an incentive if you go 50+ times every 6 months.

Technically I have two memberships right now. My husband and I are trying out a new one and it's super cheap. I'm still using both since our "old" gym is a lot closer, but we'll figure out which we like the best and keep that one!

I have been slacking on going to the gym, but I got a great deal for my 24 hour fitness membership. For what I'm paying, it would never cancel it- my weekly yoga classes there make it worth it. However, I have been spending money on studios- Igo to Bar Method and Bikram Yoga classes... Too bad my gym doesn't offer those classes!

I just canceled my gym membership cuz I don't make it there often. I bought a Wii Fit instead and use that every day! :)

I've been going to my gym all summer - it is easier for me to do that since I can drop the kids off in child care (which they love - at ages 3 & 5, they have no interest in sitting in a jog stroller for an hour). But I have noticed that since school is back in session, the gym has been even busier. I know that part of the reason is that vacations are over, but it is MOBBED now. I can't wait for people to start losing their drive LOL - at least then my zumba and spin classes would not be so packed.
