Do You Suffer From "Fat Days"?

Do You Suffer From "Fat Days"?

Being a woman, I feel like we are prone to our fair share of "fat days." You know, those days when your pants don't seem to fit quite right, you feel bloated, or you stand in front of the mirror and look softer than usual. Our fluctuations in hormones definitely contribute to water weight gain, so we can always point the finger at our old Aunt Flow. But I also know that when I overindulge on treats, it's my love affair with Ben & Jerry that's to blame.

Whatever the reason, tell me . . .

My fat days occur at any and all times...except during my period! That's the only time I get any relief.

I don't suffer from fat days, I suffer from BLOATED (&painful) days... LIKE TODAY! YES! And the worst part is that I really never know WHY I am feeling this way!

Yes. When I eat unhealthy things and not really working out as I should. And, of course, during my period.

Aside from my period, I get fat days the day after eating Mexican or Chinese food. Usually it goes away after 2 days of healthier eating. But it is an awful feeling

Only when I don't sleep well the night before...I get bloated and puffy for some reason. Then I usually sleep like a rock the next night and I go back to normal.

I feel bad on the day I start, but I think I'm just still adjusting to not being on the pill anymore, too. I took one form of birth control pills or another for soooo long that I just didn't know what it would naturally feel like. I'd prefer the cramps for a day now to feeling fat all the time on the pill, though. I have about a week here and there, though, that I feel bloated and awful. It's like my digestion seems to come to a halt for a long time. I wish there were something I could do about that. It's not related to my period, though.

My fat days don't seem to occur near that TOM. They seem to happen whenever I am feeling bad about something else in my life. I don't even realize this until afterwards usually.

I usually only have "fat days" right before & on the first couple days of old Aunt Flo's visit, but lately I've been straying from my healthy habits and it's making it harder to fit in my favorite jeans all the time ... that tells me it's time to quit my summer slacking and get back on track!

I agree usually its around my period. I think every woman has a fat day every once in awhile.

I voted only around my period, but I have the occasional other fat days...I have an inflammatory bowel disease that's with me all the time even when in remission. I have to take a lot of pills, and they sometimes make things all weird. I've figured out ways to avoid it, but I get so tired of eating all good food, and sometimes I just want some ice cream. :feedme:
