Do You Usually Have Your Worst Night's Sleep on Sunday?

Do You Usually Have Your Worst Night's Sleep on Sunday?

Sunday evening rolls around and I am already thinking about my alarm going off early Monday morning. It seems that I am not alone. In a recent UK sleep survey, 60 percent of the participants answered that Sunday night was the worst night of sleep for the week. A quarter of those workers also admitted to calling in sick for work on Monday due to lack of sleep. I am not sure my sleep is affected, but I know that I go to bed thinking about work rather than counting sheep.

How about you . . .

I have no trouble falling asleep at my regular time on Friday & Saturday nights (when my husband wants me to stay up & hang out), but on Sunday night it takes me hours to fall asleep. I get way too anxious and irritable about having to go back to work on Monday.

It really depends - I usually spend Sunday nights with the bf, and we cook dinner and chill in front of the tv - a great habit to get into, as it puts a nice end cap on the weekend. But then there are the Sundays that there's something exciting going on (Super Bowl) or I'm worried about a client meeting in the morning, where I have trouble sleeping.

OMGosh. Soo yes!! I had never heard anyone else complain about it. I have this strange anxiety about having not set my alarm correctly (even though I check it like 10 times before I go to sleep and I set my phone as a backup.) I worry about it so much that it wakes me at least 15 times.

Monday morings are he worst because your sleeping pattern changes during the weekend... everyone likes to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday morning!

Any night where I have an early wakeup call the next day....I will most likely have a bad night's sleep.

Yes! Not only do I think about all the stuff I have going on for the coming week, but my body is still in "weekend mode" and I have a tough time getting to bed at a decent time.

I actually sleep best on Sunday nights because I go to bed early and try to relax a lot before going to bed.

i love sunday nights, getting all ready for the next week, and don't ever stress out about going to work the next day but maybe it's because i like my job!

This used to happen to me when I was in school. I love waking up early and going to work, so I would sleep wonderfully on Sunday evening. However, I was let go from my full time job on Thursday without any warning, due to the slow economy. Now I just feel like a loser at home all day.

I too have trouble sleeping every night but Sunday's do tend to be ever harder to fall asleep. I think about work on Monday, what I did/didn't do over the weekend and what I need to squeeze in for next weekend.

Yes, I have to wake up at 4am on Monday and Tuesdays, so Sunday is hell. I rarely get even 5 hours, which blows because I need like 9 to function optimally.

The whole weekend thing throws me off all together, starting with staying up late Friday night. I try to stick with my weekly routine throughout the weekend that way Monday is no biggie. It doesnt always work but its helpful especially if you have a big project, meeting or are expecting a blizzard! (I live in New England so you never know what your going to wake up to)
