Does Watching the Olympics Inspire You to Do Winter Sports?

Watching the Olympics is keeping me up at night! I am so into the Winter games and especially love the skiing, snowboarding, and skating events. Seeing Lindsey Vonn speed down the mountain and Gretchen Bleiler flip around the half-pipe totally inspires me to get out and play in the snow. What about you?

No, but I was at the gym yesterday, and the Olympics were on TV, ski jumping to be precise. It was very motivating!

I really enjoy watching the Olympics. BUT realistically winter sports are really expensive and I can't afford to take the trip and rent the gear and the lodging in order to do them.

I am surprised by how much I enjoy watching them but I have no desire to do them. I hate skiing and ice skating. Speed and instability are not my friends. I prefer slow and steady, but hard. Maybe cross country skiing would be more my style? But the cold is also not my fave.

I like watching the Olympics but gave up skiing when I couldn't handle the cold anymore. There is a reason I live in Southern California.

No way. I like watching the athletes compete, but I know I'm definitely NOT that coordinated. I'd never be able to do those things without breaking my legs.

They're addictive! I can't stand the cold and all the layers involved in most winter sports, but if they introduced snow/ice-free varieties of the sports (like sandboarding!), I'd be first to sign up!

I haven't been able to get to bed before 11:30 since the Olympics started!
