Dr. Oz Push-up Test

I love Dr. Oz, one of Oprah's health gurus and co-author of You On a Diet (the healthy life style tome that motivated my hubbie to actually use our elliptical). Dr. Oz has some specific ideas of how to measure fitness and since push-ups are one of my favorite exercises I thought I would see if you all knew what the Doc expects of us in this exercise.

How many consecutive modified (on bent knees) push-ups does Dr. Oz think a "fit" woman in her 30s should be able to perform?

If it weren't the middle of the night right now I would totally test myself right now! But since it is I'll just tell myself that I can do it, so that I can go to sleep assured, and not deal with the cold hard reality of my push-up abilities until the morning! :-P

Geez. 0/2 - I haven't done 45 in a row for a looooong time. I thought my 25 reps was good enough. Boo.

I never do modified pushups.. never have. 45 of them just seems overly easy to me. I don't see why you would unless you're trying to build up to regular ones.

i figure if a woman could do 45 modified push-ups, shouln't she switch to doing fewer regular push-ups?

I love Dr. Oz so this quiz was easy! However actually doing the push-up's are far from easy, it's tough (for me.)

yikes....I guess being in the Army had its perks for me because all those years of push-ups make these numbers seem low....I thought all the choices were to small to begin with..Push-ups are an awesome workout, everyone should try them. The best thing about them is the more you do, the easier they get and the more toned you look!

Wow! 45 sure is a lot... I think I can do half of that! :O haha! I'll definitely get working on those consecutive push-ups! ;)
