I think this book would be handy for people like my aunt who eats in restaurants a lot. She sometimes makes bad decisions because a turkey wrap LOOKS healthier than say, a bowl of chili. But if the chili is actually healthier, it'd be nice to at least know that. I don't think I personally would use it much, but I think a lot of people probably would find it helpful.

The author was on Ellen the other day. It's definitely for people who are going to be eating junk food anyway. It helps you pick the option least likely to lead to your death. There are also some good comparisons with the good one being healthful.

I agree, I'd definitely check out this book to see what would be the best choice in certain situations.

The book isn't bad - I don't own it, but there was something on MSNBC from them about "Drink swaps that will save you calories" and I've lost 3 lbs in a couple weeks, without really changing anything else. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/22593715/?pg=1#TDY_MH_Drinkthis

I don't think it's per se telling you Eat a Big Mac. I think what it is saying is that IF you were to go there, and IF you wanted a burger...here is a best CHOICE burger there vs a worst CHOICE. I think it's great for those who are just starting out eating better or starting a diet plan as it can ease you into it without feeling like you are missing out. I wouldn't use it but I know folks who would. (I'm a big fan of the nutrition calculators that resturaunts offer online so I check out my choices BEFORE going out if my friends want a chain.)

I'd take a few pointers from that book...
