A study published in BMC Public Health found that women who ate five servings of veggies daily had 30 percent fewer pimples. If that isn't incentive to chomp on a carrot, I don't know what is. I noticed an improvement in my skin when I became a vegetarian. 5 years later, my skin is still clear a majority of the time. :)

I very very sadly, have not found this to be the case, my diet has always revolved around loads fruit and veg as staples (and there was a time when it was practically the only stuff I ate) but my skin never improved

I've noticed this too. Ever since I started eating a ton of fruits and veggies, my skin has gotten amazingly clear. Must be all the phytonutrients that are in them.

This is true... plus they give you a healthy glow! TADOW.. when I went vegan 10 years ago I noticed the same thing... in addition to shinier hair that grows super fast.

This is very true. Since going vegetarian seven years ago the acne I used to have all over my forehead has gotten a lot better. It's not cured by any means, like I get a bump every once in a while (who doesn't) but it is a non issue now. I really do contribute that to a better lifestyle and consuming way more veggies.
