Eggs = High Quality Protein

Protein is the building block of life. You need a healthy dose of the macronutrient daily to build muscle. Plus, protein gives you energy. A new study from the University of Illinois found the humble egg to be a great source of high-quality protein. Egg protein helps preserve muscle mass and provides steady and sustained energy. The study recommends eggs as a protein source for endurance athletes since eggs are high in the amino acid leucine, which helps muscles utilize the fuel glucose. If you were avoiding eggs for health reasons, it is considered safe to eat six eggs a week.

I love boiled eggs i eat them all the time, it has really helped me to feel sull and not overeat. Plus i think they helped my hair grow lol!

Love egg whites. I never liked the yokes, cholesterol or not, I always picked it out when I was a kid. Eggs fill you up for hours.

ilanac13, I'm the same. I can't drink cow's milk or eat yoghurt, because it rips my stomach to shreds and does terrible things to my skin, so I would be an incidental vegan if it weren't for eggs and the cheese that I have once a week (because I'll push over old ladies to get to my weekly toasted cheese sandwich on Friday night! :), but I don't think I could give them up. And while I'm a vegetarian for moral reasons, I don't feel guilty about eating local free range eggs and farm-fresh organic cheese. No animals were harmed in the making of my breakfast. :)

I usually eat one egg and one egg white along with a bowl of porridge, flax, raisins and goji berries each morning. Helped me lose 50 pounds and keeps me full for about five hours. :) To be honest, I'm always a bit astonished when I hear people say that they eat four or five egg whites a day. Leaving aside the fact that I think having one yolk a day is actually good for you (I used to be fully on the egg-white-only bandwagon, but I added a yolk back and haven't looked back!), doesn't that get incredibly expensive? Wouldn't you be going through about 30 eggs a week? I buy free range and even a pack of 6 is fairly pricey.

eggs are one of the main reasons that i can't go vegan. i really do rely on them for protein in my diet...even though i have them only on the weekends.

I love eggs! I generally make them on the weekends, but sometimes I boil a bunch of them and eat them during the week. I love to cut up a hard boiled egg on a salad. Yummy!

I eat an egg white taco in the morning with coffee every day! I use the carton egg whites with little yolk in each serving

i have an egg about once a week...hard-boiled in a wrap or on a sandwich (i'm a vegetarian). they're full of protein and they keep you full. (and they're delicious!)

I am going to consciously try to incorporate more eggs...the studies are overwhelmingly positive...I just hope they're not sponsored by The Council for Eggs! :)

I sometimes eat 4 egg whites a day, sometimes adding a half yolk or whole yolk in. I love eggs with spinach and red peppers.
