Eva Longoria's Wedding Workout

Eva Longoria's Wedding Workout

We all saw Eva Longoria walking around to get toned up for her big wedding extravaganza, but that girl was doing way more than just walking to get the body of her dreams for the day of her dreams.

According to her trainer, Patrick Murphy, Eva wanted to look strong, she wanted really nice posture and she wanted her arms to look great.

i tried this workout on the weekend (slightly modified due to time constraints/gym equipment) and it was really good! the variety of moves kept my interest up and i felt like i'd had a really full body work out. i'm still a little confused as to the difference between traditional dumbbell bicep curls and dumbell hammer curls- any help?

She stays in amazing shape for Desperate Housewives, so I'm sure she didn't have to try too hard for her wedding.

I just didn't get into the hype about this wedding ...as for her workouts, not so much either. I'm happy for her, but I'm moving on...

Balance ball skull crusher is pretty simple. Rest your shoulders and head on a balance ball while in a bridge, feet hip width apart. Raise your arms/weights in a straight line. Wrists and elbows directly above your shoulders. Keeping your elbows in, lower the weights, by hinging at the elbow, to a 90 degree angle. Then raise back up to straight. They get the name skull crusher because when you have the weights in your hands and you lower to that 90 degree angle, you come close to hitting your head (skull) with the weight. :) I hope that's easy to understand. You should be feeling it in your triceps if you're doing it properly. I prefer kickbacks because I can isolate my tricep better but its strictly a matter of preference and comfort.

There are only a few of those exercises I don't recognize (at least by name), but explanations of some of them would be awesome. I think I may print this and take it to the gym with me!

Except for a couple of these ridiculous names, none of this is really that new or innovative. And she's not using that much weight. I'm as little as her and I sure can squat and lunge a lot more than that and press and curl too. Oh well, maybe she never strength trained before, or her trainer modified the workout for the "masses" She was always tiny, so I'm sure she really didn't need much work to get in shape.
