Great way to get into a quick groove. But I have to say that my favorite kick-@ss, let it all out cooker for the peak of my run is -- ironically titled for this site -- "Sugar," by Kid Rock. Yes, the lyrics will make your blue-haired granny blush and I'd probably get banned from this site if I typed them here, but nothing beats that invigorating drum crescendo as you crank out the last 60 seconds of your kick. I am 41 years old, but when I sync up to that rhythm, I feel strong and defiant and I go back to my old high school track days, sprinting in full stride and leaning for the tape. Say what you want about Kid Rock, but that song is pure, raw energy, and perfect for a run. mwmsjuly19 6 years I'll drink cyanide if I hear Pocketful of Sunshine again. Haaaaate all these overplayed chestnuts. 4 Minutes is good to end a run with. 'Cause it's the END of a run, of course. Juicylemon 6 years 1. Don't stop the music 2. 4 minutes 3. Womanizer ilanac13 6 years interestingly enough - my fav songs aren't even on this list. i think that the kevin rudolf song is my favorite! 78GHM 6 years I love Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold." The song is kind of pop-tastic but listening to it makes sitting still practically impossible mtiger 6 years I absolutely love Womanizer!! Although I'm pretty sure it was written about my ex...:)! cupcakers 6 years Britney's songs are the best to workout to since they are so upbeat plus I think about her (now) slamming body which makes me workout harder! maringirl 6 years When I'm running I usually like songs that have a little more "anger to them like Pink's "so what". But, Britney will do at any time! GlowingMoon 6 years Like many posters, I like Rihanna's music, too. I also like Justin's older song "Sexy Back." I like to dance to that song, too. EastVillageAmy 6 years I went with Rihanna, just because I listened to this most of 2008, Womanizer and Single Ladies, just the past few weeks, but they will definitely stay on the playlist for 2009. gemini7827 6 years it was a tie for me...'Womanizer' and 'Dont Stop the Music' pyleela 6 years Definitely Womanizer! So cathartic. gabiushka 6 years Rihanna by far. Soniabonya 6 years anything by Rhianna and even Britney keeps me going. PCD's good too, but rhianna all the way on this vote :) pixelhaze 6 years don't stop the music for the steady beat - good for long distance on the treadmill. Womanizer switches tempos, so it's good for light intervals. I love single ladies, but it keeps making me want to dance while on the elliptical. Not safe. zcoral 6 years I don't like Madonna but for sure 4 Minutes does the trick on the elliptical. Anything by Britney always keeps me moving strong too. Rihanna's Disturbia has been on repeat lately too! These are all good ones. Spectra 6 years I really like the Pussycat dolls "When I grow up"...it's so catchy and has a great rhythm. livetolove 6 years Okay come on... it's gotta be Brit--totally a power-trip song for me! I put it on when I need that extra boost!!! mondaymoos 6 years I love all of the uptempo Rihanna and Britney songs when I'm running. "Shut Up And Drive" was my favorite, though. jessie 6 years don't stop the music....love that one when i'm at the gym laellavita 6 years as much as i hate the overly synthed quality to it, "womanizer" has the PERFECT running tempo for me to keep time - i listen to it on loop for the whole five miles when i go out running!
