I have a fuel belt like this, and I absolutely love it! I drink A LOT of water (over a gallon a day) and run 6-10 miles per day. It's great on long runs because I put water in a couple, and a sports drink in the rest. The pocket holds my cell phone (in case of emergencies!), my key, and a gel or two. It's very elastic-y, so I wear it low and snug on my hips. I am sure that I look like a total dork, but when it's 100 degrees out and I have no other access to water, it's a godsend!

Thanks for the review, murdock. I think you answered my questions. I can see something like this being better for bike riding then for running. Less cumbersome.

I tried one of those, but the darn thing stuck out too much, so I was having to hold my arms out farther from my sides to avoid banging the inside of my elbows against it with every stride, and the holding-out-of-my-arms really wore out my poor neck & shoulders. I returned it the next day & now use a one-large-bottle belt where the bottle goes in the back. Much better. I'm pretty tall (5'11") & do drink a lot of water, but this one-bottle solution works just fine for me on my hour-long runs. On the 2-hour-long runs, I have to stop in at a Subway or McDonalds to refill. Hope this helps those who are thinking of different hydration ideas. :) - LM

Dang! I don't even drink that much water in a day! (Granted I should, but I'm just never thirsty!)

I think it's a good idea, the weight would be evenly distributed too.

The name is so silly! I didn't actually think that was the real name. I thought you made it up Fit! :ROTFL: @ Terminator Fuelbelt. I don't know... it looks kinda uncomfortable, especially if your running with it around your waste!

I wear my fuel belt on my long run days when training for a marathon. When all bottles are filled up, the entire belt is weighted down. Don't know why she's been wearing one (it can be uncomfortable), maybe for added resistance, but it doesn't do anything to help the waistline. The little pouch is great for holding your keys and or id.

I saw a co-runner wearing this during a half marathon and thought it was an interesting concept. I'm not sure if I would like it. Would take some getting used to.
