Fit Tip: Run Backwards


If you're tired of your same old running route, but don't have time to map out a new run, might I suggest running backward. Not literally running backward, although that does have its merits too, but try running your route in reverse. I did this yesterday, and it was like a whole new run. I saw houses and gardens I have never noticed before – these are the things that keep me entertained while running. My run felt new and exciting, although the hills that are usually challenging to run up were also challenging to run down.

This trick for invigorating your basic running route works well for walking and biking too. Try it and see what I mean.
