We had a blast talking to all of you during last week's Twitter #FitChat — celeb trainer Joel Harper even got in on the action! For those of you who missed it, we shared advice on how to stick to healthy New Year's resolutions. Here were a few problems that our #FitChat followers faced, and the advice we gave them on how to overcome the hurdle.
- Getting up early for a morning workout is a problem for @kristykorcz. Trainer Harper suggested that she sets her alarm clock to play an energizing song in the a.m., or that she use the phone app iAmHappy. When the phone's alarm goes off, it plays positive affirmations instead of an annoying buzz. What a great way to face the day!
- Finding motivation to work out was a common problem in the group. @sharpinthecity is relying on new gym buddies to get her out the door, and @pizzalogger is going to find fun ways to stay in shape like taking a Zumba class.
Last week's chat was so fun that we'll be hosting another one on Jan. 20, at noon PST. Keeping in line with this week's Get Fit For 2011 Challenge of keeping a food journal, our #FitChat will be on the topic of healthy eating. Be ready to talk about how to stick to a healthy diet and what healthy foods you rely on to keep you going through the day. To participate, just follow me @FitSugar and be sure to use the hashtag #FitChat so we can keep track of the conversation as it unfolds.
