These 18 Influencers Are Changing Women's Fitness

Under Armour

As our culture becomes more and more active and health-obsessed, the power of fitness influencers has exploded, especially on social media. These women are becoming celebrities in their own right; some are self made, others are supported by brands, and several are backed by Hollywood stars. And while Instagram has jettisoned these ladies into the stratosphere of stardom, the platform has also enabled them to empower and inspire women all over the world. Take a look and get to know the 18 women who are taking the fitness world by storm!

Kayla Itsines

With 4.4 million followers on Instagram, you'd be hard pressed to find a young woman in fitness who hasn't heard of Kayla Itsines, or at least BBG — her Bikini Body Guides that sparked social fitness phenomenon, with an obsessed and dedicated community of fans. Kayla's e-guides were so popular that she created the app, Sweat With Kayla, where users can subscribe monthly to workouts on their phone or tablet.

Marie Purvis

Marie Purvis is THE Nike Master Trainer. Before Nike assembled its army of female heroes in the fitness industry, Marie was paving the way, and was the driving force behind the creation of the N+TC app that so many of us know and love.

Anna Victoria

Creator of the Fit Body Guides and the #FBGgirls community, Anna Victoria's fans love her because of their incredible results. She's got a sense of humor, too: in between photos of client before-and-afters, mirror selfies, and delicious looking clean eats, you'll get several hilarious memes.

Caitlin Turner

This is not your typical fit-stagram account. With a beautifully unique approach to her practice, you'll find endless inspiration in Caitlin Turner's photos of yoga poses outdoors – typically with breathtaking scenery from her travels.

Amanda Bisk

Perth, Australia's Amanda Bisk is a personal trainer, yogi, and former pole vaulter. With a fun, fresh, and lighthearted approach to fitness (and some bright and beautiful photos to go with it), Amanda has created a community of fit fans the world over, and launched a 12-week training program to strengthen your body and mind.

Jessamyn Stanley

Jessamyn is all about confidence and loving your body. The yoga teacher shows women everywhere that fitness is for everybody, and has created a 60-day program aimed at bringing self-love and confidence to participants.

Jen Selter

Jen Selter knows her greatest asset – and it may or may not be her 8.5 million-strong fan base on Instagram. Although not a trainer, the It girl's affinity for fitness and her photo journal of her fitness endeavors on social media has made her an inspiration to many.

Hannah Bronfman

Hannah has created a gorgeous digital space for all things beauty, health, and fitness. The DJ-turned-fitness-guru has a knack for making green juice and sweat sessions look extra glamorous.

Kirsty Godso

The New Zealand native and NTC Master Trainer loves basketball and boxing, and rarely goes a day without fitting in a workout (or three). Always on the go and always inspiring, Kirsty hosts NTC classes in Auckland, and travels around the world connecting with women on their health journey. She's also got one of the best athleisure styles we've ever seen.

Diana Johnson and Felicia Oreb

The Base Body Babes — two sisters from Australia — are known their beautiful imagery, style inspiration, and inclusive nature. Their online fitness and nutrition programs have drawn in a massive following on Instagram — 600k to be specific.

Natalie Uhling

Under Armour athlete Natalie Uhling is a model, trainer, and the brains behind the fitness program NUfit. When she's not inspiring women on her Instagram, she's inspiring them on her blog.

Cassey Ho

The Pilates queen got her start on YouTube with her 1,000-squat challenges and she's been squatting and inspiring ever since. She's gained over a million followers on Instagram, and has launched an activewear line.

Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott

Founders of the Tone it Up workouts, Karena and Katrina created the movement known as the TIU community. Now, with an activewear line, retreat schedule, and set of branded fitness products, these two have also created a fitness empire.

Jessie Delgado

Gaining fame in a similar manner to Jen Selter, Jessie's hard-earned booty has earned a major fan base (over half a million!), which inspired her second Instagram, dedicated to workout videos. We love her positivity and sense of humor — the San Diego native loves working out for In-N-Out.

Robin Martin

Yogi and mom Robin Martin posts a new, beautiful yoga post almost daily. But she's no ordinary yogi – Robin practices in the sky, in the sea, and on land with AcroYoga and SUP yoga.

Emily Skye

Emily's Instagram is several parts #fitspo and a few parts workout videos. Fans love her blog, which has tons of recipes and tips, and her workout and nutritional guides.
