Often things happen that don't allow us to work out, like the torrential downpour rains that ruined nearly all of my outdoor runs a few weeks ago here in San Francisco. One thing that I have found to be good is to always have a fitness backup plan. This means that if your meeting goes late, and you miss your favorite spin class that you don't forgo exercising altogether, you just have something else on the back burner such as fitness DVDs and a resistance band at home. The backup plan can be different for everyone, just make sure to have something on hand that you won't mind doing if your original fitness plans fall through.
