Funky Music for Your Workout

P.L.O.W. — Get Funky

There's something about old funky music that really gets me pumped. I love the beats and the silly lyrics, and I always include a few of these songs in my playlists. They're perfect for getting you to run or cycle a little faster, and they're so fun that I forget I'm working out.

"ABC" — Jackson 5, 2:57
"Car Wash" — Rose Royce, 3:16
"Brick House" — The Commodores, 3:27
"Funkytown" — Lipps, Inc., 3:59
"Super Freak" — Rick James, 3:23

This song is one of my faves. Want to see the rest? Then

"It's Raining Men" — The Weather Girls, 5:26
"U Can't Touch This" — MC Hammer, 4:17
"I Will Survive" — Gloria Gaynor, 3:18
"Hot Stuff" — Donna Summer, 5:14
"Jungle Boogie" — Kool & The Gang, 3:02
"Flashlight" — Parliament, 4:29
"Word Up" — Cameo, 4:19

Total PLOW = 47:07

I love this stuff, as a child of the late 70s/early 80s, it is the music we grew up dancing to! I have most of these in my iPod. Another recommendation is "The Love You Save" by the Jackson 5!

The only song I agree with is "I will survive." I like running to "Keep it coming love" and "Shake your groove thing."

I hate all these songs, especially Brick House. I made my wedding DJ promise not to play it.

Apologies in advance since I'm obviously very late on the topic, but I'm not sure what to do with these playlists. :/ Are they just a suggestion, or can we listen to them online or something like that?
