Get Motivated: One of the Most Inspirational Home Runs Ever

I am not usually moved by sports stories. Something about overpaid men getting overly emotional just doesn't do it for me.

This next one serves as an exception. Maybe I'm overly emotional, but this story truly demonstrates ultimate sportsmanship during a Western Oregon and Central Washington softball girls game — I'm not kidding, I literally got tears in my eyes. Watch the story below and try to tell me if it doesn't inspire you athletically and personally.

Pretty great, right? Oh, how I love feel-good story, especially when it's related to women and exercise!

Tidal - two members of the opposing team requested to be able to carry her around the bases so her home run would count. This is a great story. It goes to show the selflessness of those Central players. I think to me it wasn't so much that they helped her out like that, but that afterwards they returned to their team with no expectation. They did it purely because it was the right thing to do.

I had heard about this story last week and it brought a tear to my eye then, but actually seeing it made it that much more emotional. It's amazing when people are willing to put their comeptitive spirit aside for one moment to help the other team.

I must be really cold on the inside or either I just don´t get it, because this was a little too... sacred for my taste. What with the music in the background and people crying like someone´s life had been changed. I´m not American, maybe that plays a part??But it was a sweet story...

Women are awesome. It seems more often we care more about these journeys rather than the finish line and I love that.
