We all need a day of rest from our grueling workouts, not only for our mind but for our body as well. However, just because you're not hitting the gym does not give you a license to be a couch potato. Instead, try to do 30 minutes of leisurely activities such as walking your dog, or stretching while you watch TV. Staying active on your days off will not only help you return to your workout mentally, but it should also help with soreness between sessions. Plus if weight loss is your goal, every calorie burned counts, right?
